So we basically went MIA for a whole year somehow?! I guess there's not much to post about when group interest in contests dwindles. Well, we've been discussing what to do instead of a contest, but we'll let you know what happens with that after we decide on something. We've still been getting tons of great deviations from you guys, so thanks for that! More importantly, ~RennyRensaur has just tipped us off that there's talk of a Golden Sun 4!
But as the GoNintendo article says here [link]
, Camelot wants to hear that fans want a fourth game before they put in the work. ZeldaInformer wrote an article about GS4 here too [link]
, and vowed to make a fan petition for the game (since... that's basically what Camelot is asking for) which is here [link]
. I've already signed it, and if you're interested in a Golden Sun 4, you should too!

Hey guys, just a reminder that if you could donate some points to the club, so we can make a Super Group,
it would be super appreciated!
Also, we were asked to share some links with everybody. It's a little late now, but Golden Sun Realm is doing a thing for the tenth anniversary of Golden Sun, and they're asking for art submissions to showcase on their front page. [link]
Check it out! Also, one of our members is restarting his old Golden Sun roleplay forum: [link]
And again, Super Group donations would be quite helpful. We want to use polls for voting in contests, which we can't do until we get a Super Group!

It's summer! That means it's time for Skye's annual oh-no-the-Internet-kept-going-without-me panic.
I want the club to be a Super Group but... it's $60?! I set up a donation pool on my page
to buy a Super Group upgrade! And I was going to make a poll, but I'll just ask here: what do you guys think about contest prizes? There seems to be a huge decline in member interest in being a contest sponsor. Should we be doing something else?
Also, we caught up with the Featured gallery! Check it out for approximately five pages of the best member artwork we've gotten.
If you're not in there, never fear! That just means you need to submit more art. If you are in there, keep it up! We love new art.
Lastly, Blade is working on the prize art from the last contest, so thanks to those two winners for waiting patiently. Blade has not forgotten you!

So it looks like the contest theme will be special outfits, probably! Unless there's a crazy influx of sudden pirates votes or something. While I start working on the contest page's write-up for it, we need some contest sponsors! You can read more about sponsoring on the contest page, but basically, contest sponsors draw prize art for the winners. That's it. So easy! You should totally sponsor this contest.
Also, Blade and I made a pass or two through the Featured gallery, but we're still not actually done with it yet. This gallery stuff is turning out to be a slow venture, but I think it'll be totally worth it!
February 24, 2011:
As a heads-up, over the next week or so, we'll be doing a lot with the gallery. The first step is properly and thoroughly defining our submission guidelines, the first version of which I just posted. This weekend, Blade and I will be going through the gallery and 1) taking out submissions that violate deviantArt's copyright policy, and 2) turning the "featured" folder into a real "featured" folder. All deviations that do not violate the copyright policy will be moved to their proper folders.
Also, as the contest stands now, special outfits are in the lead, followed by element swap, and pirates/collaborations tied for last.
-Skye Rules of Membership:
1. Please read the submission guidelines
before submitting contest entries or deviations to the gallery.
2. Only members may enter the contests and submit art to the gallery.
3. Please use common sense and courtesy when interacting with fellow members, and have fun!
You must be a full member, not a watcher, to enter contests or submit features to the gallery. You are welcome to watch the club if you just want to see more Golden Sun works in your messages, though!
